Aurora peeked her head around the door and waited for the woman at the desk to notice. After a moment, Isabella looked up from her screen. Her crystal blue eyes went wide. She immediately jumped from her chair and nearly knocked Aurora over.
The kiss lasted for almost a minute.
“Hi,” Aurora said, once she had a chance to breathe.
“Hi?” Isabella replied, her voice squeaking. “Why didn’t you call and say you were coming?” Her arms were still wrapped tightly around Aurora’s waist.
“How long has it been this time?”
“Six months! Where have you been?”
“Somewhere with a much slower clock, it seems,” Aurora said. She followed up with a sigh. “I saw you yesterday.”
